Due to the cancellation of the Christmas 'Cross/League Final Overall Standings have been taken from the best 6 results compiled after Round 9 at Pembrey. Individual trophies will be posted out to the first three in each category. Perpetual trophies will be engraved and held at the Welsh Cycling Office for collection; trophy winners will be acknowledged at the first event next season.

Many thanks to all who have supported the Welsh League this season. I am sorry for the unsatisfactory end to it but hope you have found it enjoyable and rewarding and look forward to seeing you all again in 2011.

2010 Welsh Cyclo-Cross Championships ...

The Glanusk Estate near Crickhowell (NP8 1LP) proved a popular addition to last season's calendar and has been chosen as the venue for the 2010 Welsh Cyclo-Cross Championships to be held on 5th December. The course will again be designed by veteran 'cross rider Lynn Lines who provided an excellent event at the nearby Cwrt y Gollen Training Camp last year.

U10/U8 10.30 for 10 minutes
U12 10.45 for 15 minutes
Youth 11.15 for 30 minutes
J/V/W 12.15 for 40 minutes
Seniors 13.30 for 60 minutes

Except for those in the U12/U10/U8 categories, riders must have a valid BC membership card. A Welsh Champion’s jersey will be awarded to the winner in all categories except U10 and U8, subject to a minimum of 3 riders starting the race. Medals will be awarded to the first three in all categories and to the winning Senior team of 3 riders.

The closing date for entries is Monday 22nd November. There will be no entries on the day in any category.

The Welsh Championships are open to riders who:
i) were born in Wales OR
ii) are the son/daughter of a person born in Wales OR
iii) have had their main place of residence in Wales for at least 5 years prior to 1st January 2010 OR
iv) are 1st claim members of clubs/racing teams/trade teams affiliated to WCU and have been so for not less than 3 months immediately prior to this event.
