We attended Sundays cyclo x in Llanharan. Well organised and marshalled as always. We brought 7 kids for the under 8/10s category. All raced their hearts out. It would be good if every finisher could receive a finishers medal to commemorate. This would help promote cycling as every Monday in school the kids have presentations of medals in front of the school. Also kids would come away with a medal / t shirt which they have earned. Appreciate it costs so maybe reduce senior prize money or increase entry fee for kids. It works in running and I am sure a lot of Tri adults do it for the t shirt.

I agree with Chris Bates regarding the youngsters receiving some simple trophy. The sport is very safe and can grow much bigger if we keep getting the new entries we had on Sunday. Well done must go to Chris Bates for bringing along a great entry from the Bynea. The Bynea cycle tops were everywhere!! Liz Slater did brilliantly in the way she was able to make a sensible start line with so many youngsters. Overall the day was great. Well set out, sign posted and marshalled and to top it all the results were posted at lightening speed. Thank you to all concerned and roll on Risca.

Really enjoyed my baptism of fire heard there was this crazy group who race around a field. Loved every minute of it even if I did manage to fall off 4 times on the final lap f while having a final push lesson learnt :-)))) Cannot wait for the next one somebody said risca ?? Yippee

Full marks must go to all that made the Merlins Knight Cross such a great evening. The course was brilliant with a good helping of technical sections, so well laid out, a joy to watch from any angle and the weather was just perfect. Can we have the same again next year please!
